This is Marley sitting under my desk waiting for me to play with him. He always sits within a few feet and patiently waits for me to look his way an signal that it’s time for a little play. I think I am a very lucky guy.

The Tower and Gardens were constructed almost a hundred years ago on what was then a barren hill of sand and dirt. Now it’s a historic national landmark and a favorite of wedding planners. In fact there was a wedding about to begin as I took this shot. This is a beautiful spot and now that I know where it is I’ll plan on coming here every now and then to see it in the different seasons. Not that we have a lot of seasons in Florida.

A portion of the walkway at Coquina Beach. This row of change stations and containers caught my eye the other day. On the weekend everyone comes here because it is simply one of the most beautiful beaches. And since this is Florida, it pretty much stays that way all year round.

Last time I was in New York I hung out here after walking my feet off all over the city. It’s an upscale mall in the Time Warner Center that has some nice spots to grab a pastry and chill with a coffee. Also, being so close to Lincoln Center there is a venue here for Jazz should you be so inclined. I was content to just sit and people watch. One thing about New York, this is the perfect place to people watch.

About a half hour drive from me is this state park where you can walk the trails or launch a canoe and explore the Little Manatee River. I managed to get here on a work day and so I pretty much had the place to myself even though all the campsites were full. I think people must have been out canoeing because I didn’t see anyone on the trails. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Earlier today I read that this beach was rated number five in the “Top Ten Island Beaches for Perfect Sand” by Conde Nast Traveler. I thought to myself, hey, that’s MY beach. Fortunately we had nice clouds so I headed down this evening for a shoot. I’ve taken a lot of pictures of this beach, it’s by far my favorite. No matter how many times I come here the results are always the same, I go home relaxed and feeling much better.

This is a path through Stanley Park in Vancouver. This is one of world’s great urban parks, easily on par with Central Park, some would say it exceeds. The air is cleansed by the abundance of trees and walking on this path you could easily forget you are in a major city. If I was king of the world my first decree would be that every city must have a big beautiful park like this. But in the meantime, Vancouver will do.

While driving across central Florida we stopped at Lake Placid for a picnic lunch. I’m guessing the lake got it’s name from the fact that it’s mostly calm water which is what I saw that day. In any case I enjoyed a sandwich and taking pictures of the shore such as this. It was a calm and peaceful scene indeed.

Two children playing under a well known tree along the shore of Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown, New Zealand. Actually, I don’t know if the tree is well known, but its my story so I’m sticking with it. I also imagine the tree is quite happy having children play under it and climb its branches. One of those things I can only imagine but never really know for sure.
